A STATION FOR STITTSVILLE
Our transit is letting riders down and pushing away those who want to use it.
Stittsville needs and deserves a dedicated bus station. A transit hub would anchor more local routes increasing coverage, it would allow us to run a more direct service from a Stittsville station to downtown Ottawa, and we could better connect with other communities down Hazeldean Road and potentially run regular service to Carp and Richmond.
Support the expansion of bus lanes and Bus Rapid Transitways to improve transit speed and efficiency.
Explore a pilot of a city-run on-demand ridesharing/taxi service similar to Metro Micro in Los Angeles to fill gaps in our transit system and service, particularly for rural residents and communities

PROACTIVE PLANNING FOR GROWTH
Development and growth in Stittsville is accelerating and services and infrastructure are struggling to keep up.
A Community Design Plan for Hazeldean Road will allow us to plan on a big picture how the entire area should grow and develop, allowing us to make broader and more holistic consideration. To meet our needs both with infrastructure and services to support the new families joining our community and the housing and growth needed to fight the housing crisis
Develop a Community Benefits Agreement framework for Ottawa, similar to the one established in Toronto, to ensure that residents benefit from new developments in their neighbourhood.
Continue the work started by Councillor Gower on the development of the Kanata-Stittsville Primary Care Health Hub and support its completion.
Road Safety
SAFE STREETS FOR ALL
Busier roads are leading to increasingly harmful accidents.
Ottawa's current plans set 2035 as the target for an end to road fatalities and serious injuries. We need to be more ambitious A Vision Zero Action Plan for road safety that will comprehensively implement policy changes like ... and move through the infrastructure backlog more quickly.
Fill in the connectivity gaps of unconnected and broken paths, abruptly ending and missing sidewalks, and the lack of safe and accessible crosswalks that impede active transportation.
